​Quilt Top

For best results, add buttons or other embellishments after the quilt is quilted. Some appliques are suitable to add beforehand, but not all can be quilted through. Be sure to clip all threads, especially dark ones that might show through lighter fabrics. Ensure there are no holes in any seams and remove all pins from the quilt top.​

 

Backing & Batting

It's crucial that your backing and batting are larger than your quilt top—aim for at least 6 inches larger on each side for both. Note on your intake form if you have a specific way you'd like the backing to align with your quilt top. It's helpful to pin a note indicating which sides are the north. Square up your backing to ensure it can be pinned on straight. Please DO NOT baste your quilt. We have a specific method for pinning, and basting beforehand might compromise the quilting integrity. Drop-off or Shipping Please submit a request before dropping off your quilt to streamline the process. If you're unsure about design or batting, we can discuss it during drop-off. Design

Choosing a pattern can be challenging. If you need assistance, feel free to email or text me—I'm always happy to help! You can also write "quilter's choice" on the order form and specify a price range. If you want your quilting design to go in a specific direction, please pin a note to the north. 

Pick-Up

Once your quilt is finished, I'll contact you to arrange pick-up. If shipping, I'll email you an invoice and we'll make payment arrangements.​

The quality of your quilting depends on the quality and integrity of the quilt top and back. While no quilt is perfect, we strive to make any flaws as inconspicuous as possible. We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from holes in seams, thick points, dark threads, fullness in the border or quilt, or other problems beyond our control. We love our pets!  If you have SEVERE ALLERGIES to pet hair, we might not be the quilter for you.
